Hey there, fellow travelers! If you’re looking to explore the sun-soaked streets of Lisbon in just two days, you’re in for a treat! Follow along as I share our delightful whirlwind tour of this vibrant city. Spoiler: it involves a scenic train ride and some tasty treats!

Travelling from Porto to Lisbon

We started our Lisbon journey bright and early, taking a beautiful three-hour train ride from Porto Campanhã to Lisbon Oriente. Seriously, if you ever get the chance, don’t miss this ride! With beautiful landscapes zooming past, it felt like the perfect warm-up for the excitement ahead.

Once we arrived in Lisbon, we hopped on the Metro from Oriente to Olaias, the closest station to our stay at Ramada by Wyndham Lisbon. After checking in and getting settled, we took a breather to rest and recharge for the next day.

Day 1: Alfama District Fun

The next morning, we kicked off our exploration at the lively Rossio Square. The charm of this square is undeniable, with its intricate cobblestone patterns and buzzing atmosphere. A perfect spot for photos, trust me!

From there, we wandered over to the impressive Praça do Comércio, experiencing the oceanic backdrop and some street arts.

In the afternoon, it was time for one of the highlights: the Alfama district! We meandered through its enchanting narrow streets, getting lost in the local charm. Make sure to take in the breathtaking views from Miradouro das Portas do Sol for a panaromic view of the city.

While we soaked in the scenery, a group of street musicians caught our attention, adding the perfect soundtrack to our adventures. To round off our Alfama escapade, we hopped on the famous Tram 25 for a delightful ride back.

Day 2: Embracing Belém and Beyond

Our second day started in the picturesque Belém district. First up was the stunning Torre de Belém. This iconic tower is a must-see and an incredible spot for some stunning photos!

Next, we wandered over to the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, a UNESCO World Heritage site that left us in awe of its intricate architectural details.

Afternoon Artistic Vibes

In the afternoon, we made our way to the bustling LX Factory, a creative hub bursting with art, shops, and quirky eateries. The vibrant street art here is perfect for snapping Instagram-worthy shots.

As the sun began to set, we strolled along the riverfront, soaking in the stunning views. If you get a chance, take a ride on the historic #28 tram. It’s like stepping back in time! To end our day on a high note, we headed to the Miradouro de Senhora do Monte for a magical sunset view that made us fall in love with Lisbon all over again.

Pro Tip

If you plan to ride the Tram 28, kickstart your trip with it! The experience is much better at the beginning of your journey.

As our fabulous Lisbon adventure came to an end, we boarded our Ryanair flight to Seville the next day, but the memories and flavors of Lisbon will be with us forever! Want to catch all the Ryan Air fun? Don’t miss our vlog here: Watch our Ryan Air experience below!
