During our recent trip to Bali, we indulged in a variety of delicious cuisines that showcased the rich flavors of the region. From traditional Balinese dishes to delightful Japanese fare, our taste buds enjoyed an incredible journey.

Balinese Cuisine

One of the first dishes we tried was Satay Chicken with Rice. Tender pieces of chicken marinated in a savory peanut sauce were grilled to perfection and served with a side of fluffy rice. Its slightly on the sweeter side so if you are a sweet tooth and also like peanuts, this is a treat for you.

We also tried Mie Goreng, a flavorful fried noodle dish packed with vegetables and spices. We also had the very flavorful Chicken Curry Noodles.

We couldn’t resist refreshing ourselves with a huge coconut water, straight from the source! Perfectly refreshing for the warm Balinese weather.

Another delightful treat was Ondeh Ondeh, delectable deep-fried sesame balls filled with sweet mung bean paste. Each bite was a burst of flavor that left us craving more!

Japanese Influences

In between our Balinese feasting, we also explored some excellent Japanese restaurants. Our sushi experience was delightful, featuring a variety of rolls that included veggie sushi with avocado and cucumber as well as chicken sushi.

We also enjoyed a hearty bowl of ramen, which was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. Complementing our meal were some scrumptious chicken dumplings, perfectly steamed and bursting with flavor.

Conclusion

Bali’s food scene is a vibrant mix of flavors and culinary artistry that left us wanting more. If you’re curious to see these mouthwatering dishes, check out my latest Instagram reel where I’ve shared all the highlights from our food journey in Bali!
